Privacy

You can play without providing a name, email address, or password.

What the game stores

An essential, HTTP-only cookie called rngdle_session identifies your anonymous browser session for up to one year. The server stores a hash of that identifier, your creation time, Odds Run and Patterns games, actions, scores, and completion dates. These records restore your game and enforce one official Daily attempt per identity.

Your browser’s local storage remembers which revealed round you have seen and any action waiting for a network retry. Small preference cookies remember your sound setting and the selected prediction, peek picker, and viewed round for each mode. A Patterns preference cookie remembers your locked positions for the current saved board. They let a refreshed page render the same view immediately; they never determine scores or hidden codes. Sound is synthesized on your device after you interact. Clearing cookies or switching browsers prevents us from reconnecting you to the old identity. There is no cross-device account sync.

Installed app and offline files

The site registers a service worker and caches public files such as styles, icons, scripts, installation instructions and game rules. Game pages, API responses and personal results are not stored in this offline cache. Playing and saving moves require an internet connection. Removing the installed app may not clear browser data; your browser’s site settings can remove cached files and cookies.

Hosting and logs

The deployment is designed for Cloudflare Workers and D1. The hosting provider processes network information needed to deliver requests. The app’s error logs omit codes, cookies, action payloads, and personal identifiers. Hosting configuration may retain operational request metadata.

No advertising or analytics trackers

This version includes no third-party advertising or analytics scripts. Fonts and other interface assets are served with the site. Sharing copies text only when you press the share control; it does not post on your behalf.

Friend challenge links

Creating a challenge publishes your final score to anyone with the link and lets friends play the same puzzle. The link contains a random ID, with no name or email. It shows the host’s score and the number of completed challengers; each friend sees their own result. It does not expose another player’s choices or unrevealed codes.

Keeping and deleting data

Game records are retained to restore progress and provide your history until you delete them using the control below. Deleting your data also revokes invitations you created and removes your shared score. Friends who already started keep their own runs and results; their records belong to their anonymous identities. Deleting game data does not immediately remove any operational hosting logs. You can also clear local site data in your browser.

Your data controls

Delete the anonymous identity stored in this browser and all of its server-side runs and results. This cannot be undone.
